An app that helps social work students prepare for the BCBA and BCaBA certification exams. It includes 100+ active organizations, an extensive database with 3000+ questions for MOCK exams, and 2000+ cards for SAFMEDS tests.

CentralReach is the industry's leading ABA software and services provider that helps organizations serving people with autism and IDD deliver evidence-based and personalized care at scale. Knowledge Builder App is created for studying and preparation for the BCBA and BCaBA certification in US Universities for social workers dealing closely with autistic clients or people diagnosed with ASD. The Rolique team developed an application from scratch.

CHALLENGES

The main goal was to engineer the whole app from scratch. We needed to create a user-friendly interface and effective study modes for students to practice for the BCBA and BCaBA certification exams. Also, we had to visualize the data to help users track progress and achieve better results.

SOLUTIONS

We integrated the app into the LMS of CentralReach Institute using the Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM)

We implemented the SAFMEDS learning method by setting up Hygraph

We have done extensive research in MongoDB to optimize the forming of statistics of MOCK exams

We made a QUIZ for collecting info about students' learning process

We implemented a semi-modular system to adapt QUIZ questions

We updated the app following ADA Compliance by adding the Focus-states & keyboard navigation and the AccessiBe widget.

We customized the Chart.js library to visualize the required data

We used Chart.js for the main setup. We also used plugins (chartjs-plugin-annotation , chartjs-plugin-annotation , chartjs-plugin-zoom, chartjs-adapter-moment) to create the ability for users to manually add/edit/delete results on the chart and view trendlines

RESULTS

The system automatically selects the most relevant questions according to specific parameters of the chosen certification of the MOCK exam.
The generation of MOCK exam statistics is optimized.
